GETTING TO DISCOVERY LODGE

FROM THE AIRPORT:

Ask for the Public Taxi Stand at Suvarnabhumi (Bangkok) International Airport Arrivals Hall and take a taxi (with yellow licence plates) from there or if you are on a tight budget ask for the FREE Airport Shuttle Bus to Hua Lamphong MRTA station. The Taxi fare should not cost you more than Baht 300 (Baht 50 for the Airpot Taxi Tariff plus Baht 250 for the taxi fare. Do not use the taxis offered by people inside the Arrivals Hall. If you do you will be ripped off because the fare will cost 200-300% more than a regular taxi fare and these taxis (with black licence plates) are not registered.

FROM BANGKOK MRTA OR SKYTRAIN STATIONS:

There are two railway systems in Bangkok; the MRTA (Subway) and the Skytrain systems.

From any Bangkok MRTA Station get on a train heading to Suttisan Station and disembark there.

If you are using the Skytrain get off at ASOK Skytrain (Sukhumvit MRTA), SIAM Skytrain (Siam MRTA), SALA DAENG Skytrain (Silom MRTA) or MO CHIT Skytrain (Chatuchak MRTA) and change from the Skytrain to the corresponding MRTA station.

Once at an MRTA station check your location on the MRTA maps found on all MRTA stations and take an MRTA train to SUTTISAN MRTA station. Before you leave SUTTISAN station ask for the exit leading towards the GRAND HOTEL and proceed towards the hotel. Discovery Lodge is at the Raja Resort Hotel next door to the Grand Hotel in Rachada Soi 16. (See directions on MAP).
